CHU de Québec Innovation roadmap

Mandate and context

Amid healthcare system transformation, the CHU de Québec aimed to equip its Innovation Office with a strategic roadmap. The objective was to establish the CHU as a leader in the integration of clinical, scientific, educational, and managerial innovations, through a clear and mobilizing roadmap aligned with both internal needs and the broader innovation ecosystem.

Implementation and solutions

VOLUME10 guided the Innovation Office through a structured three-phase process—diagnosis, co-construction, and planning. Combining targeted interviews, collaborative workshops, and strategic modeling, the team co-developed a long-term vision (2040), a three-year strategic plan (2025–2028), and an operational roadmap anchored in 12 concrete actions. The strategic roadmap centers on three pillars: structuring innovation internally, showcasing its value, and strengthening its impact.

Impact and outcomes

The Innovation Office now operates with a shared vision, a clear structure for action, and a strategic framework validated by senior leadership. The strategic roadmap serves as an internal mobilization tool, a guide for implementation, and a launchpad to position CHU de Québec as a national and international hub for health innovation.
