Living up to their reputation as "the best thing to come out of Leicester since Gary Lineker", Kasabian have produced a debut album more than worthy of the accolade.
Band influences are obvious from the outset – Stone Roses, Happy Mondays and Primal Scream – No wonder then that Roses/Primals bassist "Mani" is shouting their name from every proverbial rooftop he can.
Although slightly derivative of it\'s predecessors at times, it never did Oasis any harm and neither will it Kasabian. Electro-rock, basslines and beats are the order of the day on undoubtedly one of the year\'s finest albums so far.
